Meet the host
Suzie Horne is Farmers Weekly’s Business Editor. She has a Yorkshire family farming background and an HND in agricultural marketing and business administration.
Suzie has an extensive background in agricultural journalism and is interested in all farm business and rural issues.

George leads on ‘Front of the Meter’ renewable development for Conrad Energy and is part of an expert team managing a diverse and growing energy portfolio.
George Hall
George leads on ‘Front of the Meter’ renewable development for Conrad Energy and is part of an expert team managing a diverse and growing energy portfolio.
Along with the buying and selling of farms, estates and businesses, he advises clients on contracts and tax planning matters for farming businesses and families.
He develops both solar PV and battery storage sites, such as their 43MW solar farm in Herefordshire and a 50MW battery storage site in Somerset.
George grew up on a farm so understands the fine balance between the need for carbon reduction and the importance of our traditional countryside.
With over 17 years in renewables, he has a wealth of experience in both utility scale and on-site generation projects and over the past 18 months has built a strong pipeline of over 550MW of solar PV and 850MW of battery schemes. Some of his previous clients include Bentley Motors, JP Morgan and the MOD.
Richard Steadman
As the project manager for Larport Solar Farm, Richard leverages his extensive experience in the embedded power generation sector to ensure the timely, safe and quality delivery of the project.

Collaborating closely with stakeholders, Richard oversees on-site work, managing contractors to ensure project success.
With a Master of Science degree in Project Management and NEBOSH certification among his qualifications, Richard brings a wealth of expertise to his role.

Victoria is director at Energy Creative and has over 20 years’ experience across marketing, communication and PR, specialising in the energy and engineering sectors.

Passionate about building brands and relationships, she has delivered projects globally, nationally and locally for, amongst others, Conrad Energy, WSP and Atkins.
Victoria works on community engagement for energy projects for a range of clients, clearly communicating throughout the planning process to the local audience.
Tim Foster
Tim joined Conrad Energy from Sembcorp UK where he was head of origination, working as head of UK Services for the ElectroRoute.

The former head of renewable origination at Statkraft, where he established Statkraft’s power purchase agreement (PPA) business within the UK, Tim joined us in February 2021.
As head of energy services, he is responsible for developing our PPA and energy supply business.

With an MSc degree in Environmental Sustainability, Alex specialises in sustainable development and construction.

Additionally, Alex works to enhance the biodiversity of the land, furthering the project's positive environmental impact.
Iain McVicar
Iain McVicar is the managing partner of Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants and specialises in providing strategic tax and business advice to farmers, estate owners, and other rural businesses.

Iain McVicar is the managing partner of Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants.
After graduating in agriculture Iain worked as an agricultural business consultant before becoming a chartered accountant. He joined Albert Goodman on the farms and estates team in 2001.
Iain specialises in providing strategic tax and business advice to farmers, estate owners, and other rural businesses and also undertakes expert witness work with regards to farm-related court cases.
He has experience of dealing with the practical and tax issues surrounding on-farm renewable energy.
