Video: 3,000 Welsh farmers tell government ‘enough is enough’
© Gareth Everett/Huw Evans Agency An estimated 3,000 Welsh farmers and their supporters from across rural Wales descended on the Senedd, the home of the Welsh Parliament, for a mass demonstration against anti-farming policies, says South Wales Police.
Together, they sent a clear message to the Welsh Labour administration that its TB eradication programme needs a drastic review, its nitrate vulnerable zone regulations are “unworkable” and its plans for the new Sustainable Farming Scheme (SFS) will devastate the farming industry and associated businesses.
