Sheep used to fight spurge

SHEEP can be used to combat spurge, according to tests conducted on the Oak Ridge State Wildlife Area, in North west Colorado, USA.

The experiments have turned the tide against the noxious weed which has caused havoc across farmland. The weed can make pasture land useless for cattle and horses.

Cattle become ill if they eat spurge, but sheep have been found to graze happily on it, They thrive on its 20% protein content.
