Scottish farmers plan street protests
SCOTTISH farmers have become the latest group of producers to announce a series of protests to highlight the crisis in the industry, reports The Herald.
Producers north of the border will take to the streets in a series of demonstrations about their plight in November, says the paper.
The National Farmers Union of Scotland had intended the protests would take place in late October.
But that would have clashed with the seasonal bull sales at Perth.
Events will take place in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness.
