Sack packer keeps eye on its weight

ELECTRONIC load cell weighing, with a self-correction function which continually checks the final weight and adjusts for any discrepancies, is now used for the Cachapuz valve sack machine.

Powered from a 2.2kW electric motor, the packer is gravity fed from a storage hopper and weighs quantities from 10kg to 50kg. Bagging speeds are said to be up to 200 bags an hour. Price £6500 (01329-232300).
