Record trade showing at Dumfries

A RECORD number of trade stands contributed to the general air of optimism at the Dumfries show over the weekend, reports The Scotsman.

On show were 113 dairy animals, almost 500 horses and over 200 beef entries.

Galloways came out top of the inter-breed championship.

The Scotsman also reports that the Perth Show produced “another tremendous show of quality cattle and sheep.
