New Fieldstar software ‘on way’

PRECISION FARMING enthusiasts will get a first glimpse of AGCO‘s new Fieldstar Open Office PC software at Cereals 2004.

Due for release at the end of June 2004, the software will replace the old Fieldstar Yield Mapping PC software, said Fieldstar manager Mark Moore.

“It is the first step towards a suite of PC software tools,” he explained.

“These start with basic applications, like record keeping, up to advanced precision farming applications for progressive farmers and agronomic service providers.”

The Fieldstar Open Office product focuses on yield mapping, but has been designed for anyone to access the data.

“This is a major advantage for customers that want to use our machinery and then simply import their data from AGCO machines into their established farm management systems,” said Dr Moore.
