New advice on worker rights

Farmworkers can now find out about their workplace rights and report abuses of those rights through a new government helpline.

The Pay and Work Rights helpline replaces five separate helplines and forms part of a wider government campaign to raise awareness of worker rights. It provides advice on minimum wages, working time regulations, employment agency standards, and Gangmaster licensing.

The helpline number is 0800 917 2368. Information is also available at www.direct.gov.uk/payandworkrights and www.businesslink.gov.uk/payandworkrights
