McDonalds denies non-Brit rumours
BURGER giant, McDonalds, has denied that it has introduced new beef buying specifications that would effectively keep British beef out of its restaurants for the foreseeable future.
Dismissing the rumours, circulating among Scottish farmers, a company official said that no changes in policy had been made since last year when McDonalds stopped buying British and began sourcing its beef from Ireland and Holland.
But the official said the company intended to return to British beef as soon as its customers regained full confidence in the produce, although he refused to say when he thought that might be.
