Working on the clamp at ScotGrass on the Crichton Royal College Farm near Dumfries, the machine boasts a 3.1t payload and a lift height of 5.2m.

The hydraulic system has been overhauled and now uses a variable displacement piston pump to provide oil on demand.

New homegrown JCB DieselMax engines provide the muscle. Two versions are available – the standard 130hp TM 310 or the more powerful 145hp ‘S’ variant. Prices are £50300 and £51435, respectively.
