• LANDOWNERS have urged visitors to keep the public rights of way to avoid any conflict over access to the countryside this summer particularly in tourist areas.
The Country Landowners Association has pleaded with all users of the countryside to obey the country code and respect the important fact that their playground is also the workplace of farmers .
CLA regional secretary for North Wales Judith Matthews said: "Our message is welcome to the countryside. Please enjoy yourselves but please obey the country code and respect the commercial activities and domestic privacy of farmers, landowners and all other rural dwellers.
