Video: Oxford protesters stand up against IHT policies

Protesters sent a clear message to Defra secretary Steve Reed as he gave a speech to farmers today at the Oxford Farming Conference.

As Mr Reed outlined his long-term vision for UK farming, a cacophony of noisy tractor horns could be heard on the streets outside, as farmers made their feelings clear on unpopular inheritance tax (IHT) and agricultural property relief tax (APR) policies.

Farmers from the area told Farmers Weekly what compelled them to travel to Oxford city centre in their tractors, what they would tell the Defra secretary in person, and what action they want to see from the government going forward.
