Farmers to ramp up tractor protests around London
British farmers are planning to stage a mass tractor event on roads around the London borough to continue the fight against government policies.
Hundreds of tractors will converge at key pinch points along the North and South Circular route on Monday 3 February.
Tractors will be travelling from all the Home Counties to take part in the mass demo as part of continuing protests against government plans to introduce farm inheritance tax from April 2026 among other policies considered to be damaging for the farming industry.

The protest is being organised by Save British Farming (SBF) and other regional groups including Kent Fairness for Farmers and cluster groups in the Home Counties.
An online page published on Eventbrite sketches out initial plans for the day.
“Farmers from across the country are invited to come together and ensure we are heard and seen,” says the advert.
“Let’s make a statement with several groups of tractors travelling clockwise and anti-clockwise around central London for a day.”
Farmers and their supporters who wish to take part in the event or want to find out more information are being urged to sign up via the Eventbrite link.
SBF founder Liz Webster said: “I urge farmers to join us on the 3 February in what promises to be a powerful spectacle of groups of tractors driven by British farmers bringing attention to our plight and encourage people to make the connection to food security and public health.
“It’s essential that we continue to escalate lawful demonstrations reminding prime minister Sir Keir Starmer that farmers are united against what his government is trying to do our industry and countryside and that we are not going to disappear quietly.”
London tractor rally
On 11 December, SBF organised the largest tractor rally in London’s history, with 650 tractors converging on Whitehall to deliver a powerful message to Sir Keir Starmer’s government.
SBF says it is committed to working with the police to ensure that this event is lawful.
