Electronic control for Opico seeders

OPICOs Air 8 and 16 pasture tine harrows mounted with pneumatic seeders can now be operated by an electronic control box.

Unlike mechanically operated models, the control box uses a distance sensor and electric motor to distribute and vary seed rates.

This, says Opico, provides quick and easy calibration, and seed rate to be adjusted on the move.

The control box records and displays forward speed, time taken and seed rate, together with seed used and workrates for a particular job.

A hard copy of this information can then be printed out using a PC printer – a facility which will appeal to contractors, says Opico.

To prevent the hopper running out of seed, an alarm is designed to work with the control box.

Prices for the electrically operated Air 8 and Air 16 are £3727 and £5468, respectively. &#42
