Dribble bar evens out fertiliser flow

USING dribble bars to apply liquid fertiliser is not new – the fact that they reduce crop scorch and can be used with conventional sprayers is generally recognised.

But Gainsborough-based Charles Seymour Designs has now produced a refined system which claims application rates from 150-1100 litres/ha to be applied without having to change bars.

Each 0.5m Accu-Rate dribble bar section has four outlets as before, but regulating the flow is a three-position selector valve. Individual lines from the selector feed the outlets – an arrangement designed to reduce the volume of liquid in the bar to a minimum and ensure even flow from each outlet.

Designed to fit most makes of sprayer – directly to the spray booms existing outlets using nozzle caps – each Accu-Rate section costs £15.75. &#42

Better control for liquid fertiliser application, is the claim for the CDS Accu-Rate system.
