Countryside Alliance targets Labour Conference
THE Countryside Alliance has angered some Labour Party members by delivering a letter supporting fox-hunting to the partys rank-and-file at their annual conference.
The letter, sent ahead of the party conference in Bournemouth, calls for a compromise over the governments plans to ban hunting with dogs.
It urges ministers to appoint an independent committee to review Tony Blairs pledge to ban hunting with dogs before any move towards legislation.
Delegates to the annual conference are expected to face a week of protests from fox-hunting supporters.
