Brisk trade for HF sires at Portadown

A BRISK trade for high-ranked protein sires pushed prices to 3300gns at the Northern Ireland Holstein Friesian clubs fixture at Portadown.

Ronald McLean and Sons, Donaghmore topped the trade with the Fatal son Relough Performer. This bulls fourth dam is the great Somerford Falcon Primrose and he boasts a pedigree combining Jabot and Southwind. Performer has an ITEM +£118 – the highest ever offered from this herd. Buyer was Philip Richard-son, Co Tyrone.

Tattynuckle Leadman Black-star, out of the show cow Hollywell Blackstar Liz 3rd, took the reserve championship and made 2000gns for Harold Bothwell, Co Tyrone. Buyer was Mr McClements, Co Down.
