Bizon hunt is successful for New Holland

NEW Holland has signed an agreement to acquire Polish combine harvester manufacturer Bizon.
It is a move designed to assist New Holland in establishing a strong foothold in the Polish and the emerging eastern markets.
With no immediate plans to market Bizons five-model range in Europe, New Holland is set to invest $20m over the next three years on upgrading the combines and improving production facilities at Bizons manufacturing base at Plock – 70 miles north-west of Warsaw.
Bizon was privatised in Dec 1992 as a result of the reorganisation of the sate-owned agricultural business, Agromet, and has since reported to have recorded increasing sales to the point that the company came into profit in 1995. Last year saw net sales of nearly $40m and a net profit of $4m.
Polish-built Bizon combines are destined for the New Holland camp.
