Whens opening time… Simmental calves wait to be let back in with their mothers. The calves, at Denston Hall Farm, Suffolk, are penned separately for a couple of hours each day to make feeding and bedding of cows easier. Calves learn to separate, tempted by the creep feed they receive while away from the milk bar. More on p40.
