AMC lifts interest

THE Agricultural Mortgage Corporation and AMC Bank have raised the variable rate of interest in line with last weeks quarter point rise by the Bank of England, taking their new rate to 8.65%. This is now just 0.5% less than the cost of five-year money, and managing director Barry Saint predicted further rises in short term rates.n
