Farmers Weekly Diversification Event

Second event of a series of three events

The day will be hosted at the West Lodge Farm Park, award winning farm park run by the Dee family where children and adults of all ages can have hands on experiences of farm and country life. There are so many opportunities to explore the whole farm; the livestock, the walks and nature trails, the fields, the streams and the machinery.

The centre is conveniently situated within 30 minutes of Peterborough, Northampton and Leicester. While being private and secluded, West Lodge Rural Centre is within easy reach of all major routes, being one mile from the A6, five minutes from the A14 and twenty minutes from both the A1 and M1. The farm diversification offers the visitors the experience to handle the rabbits and guinea pigs in cuddle corner, take a pony ride, watch the very popular piglet race or play in the adventure playground.

Additionally the farm offers different experiences such as lambing, sheep shearing and harvest time on the farm and walks and nature trails where you can enjoy a picnic by the stream. More information about the centre can found here.

Driving from Leicestershire

TAke the A6 to Market Harborough and Kettering
Remain on the A6 bypass aroudn Market Harborough following signs to Kettering
At the roundabout before Desborough take the first exit to Desborough and West Lodge Rural Centre B669
As you enter Desborough turn left at the roundabout onto the B669 towards West Lodge Rural Centre and Stoke Albany
After a quarter of a mile turn right and the entrance to West Lodge is a quarter of a mile further on the left

Driving from Oxford

Take Junction 19A and follow the A14
Travel along the A14 approximately 16 miiles and turn off on to the A6 (Desborough and Market Harborough)
At the second roundabout along the A6 turn right following brown tourist board signs to West Lodge
As you enter Desborough turn left at the roundabout onto the B669 towards West Lodge Rural Centre and Stoke Albany
After a quarter of a mile turn right and the entrance to West Lodge is a quarter of a mile further on the leflt.
