2019 Diversification Event Speakers
Treway Farm Turkeys are producers of award winning free range bronze turkeys in Cornwall. We strongly believe in doing things the traditional way and hold the welfare of our Cornish Turkeys as our top priority. We rear the birds slowly and feed them an all natural diet, which adds to their succulent flavour.
Andrew Fussell is the owner of Fussel Farms, where they grow, press, label, bottle, market and sell Extra Virgin Cold pressed Rapeseed Oil and associated condiments all over the South West and some products nationally through supermarkets under the Fussels’ Fine Foods Ltd brand.
Added to that, they have:
- Frome Area Building Supplies Ltd that supplies all building products to the trade and to the general public.
- Bulk Logistic Haulage company called Rode Haulage Ltd
- Two animal feed blending plants producing 800-1000 tonnes of feed
- Rode Hill Fishery, a three day ticket, Carp fishing lakes with plans about to go in for a further two lakes
Nicola is a Rural Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer who undertakes a range of rural professional work. Nicola has recently been involved in a number a varied planning applications from Class Q on a former cubicle shed to installation of an equestrian arena to expansion of a farm shop to a new build equestrian tied dwelling.
Steph joined WhiteAvon Consultancy Ltd part of the Farm Consultancy Group in October 2015, having previously worked in Devon as an assistant rural surveyor. She specialises in grant funding, budgeting, basic payment scheme, environmental management schemes, cross compliance and nutrient planning. Having grown up on her family farm in the Cotswolds where they farm 400 acres of arable land, with a Suckler herd of 130 and run a flock of 600 ewes, this has given her experience of the day to day practices of running a mixed farm. Steph is a graduate of the Royal Agricultural University with a BSc (Hons) in Agricultural Management and an MSc in Rural Land Management. Steph is a Member of BIAC, and a FACTS Qualified Adviser
