Vaderstad launches Swift cultivator
Vaderstad’s latest offering in the cultivator market sits between the Top Down and Carrier models giving a medium level of ground disturbance.
The Swift is designed to work in medium to heavy soils and the firm says the 5.6m version can be pulled with a 160-180hp tractor.
A bank of staggered heavy duty spring tines work the soil to a maximum of 16-17cm followed by a row of hydraulic levellers and an optional trailing harrow.
The company has moved to a tubular construction which Vaderstad claims increases strength and reduces the risk of welds cracking.
The 5.6m, 560 model will cost about ÂŁ27,500 and the firms says production will start in April 2011. A 9m version will also be available.
