UK importer Harsh is focusing on the agricultural market with the Italian-made ITRunner hooklift trailer, a system that offers farmers considerable cost savings.

The hooklift concept enables a number of different bodies to be lifted on to and removed from one chassis via a large hydraulic arm. A muck spreader, water bowser and timber forwarding trailer can all be used.

Harsh claims significant financial benefits can be achieved by converting to this system: the comparable cost against a conventional trailer can be up to two-thirds cheaper because the running gear is already in place.

More than 1,000 units have been sold in Europe since production of the trailer started in 2012.

The cost of a 16-tonne lift/tip bare chassis will set you back £26,600. Attachments vary in price from £4,000 for a 16-tonne grain trailer to £13,000 for a slurry tanker.
