Marshall unveils low-loader trailer with hydraulic beavertail

The first low-loader trailer from Marshall features a novel hydraulically raised and lowered end section that can be used as a loading ramp or load deck.
It gives the trailer added versatility as a carrier of wheeled machines and other equipment, or bales, fertiliser/seed bulk bags, vegetable boxes and the like.

There are two models – the 7.92m long LL-26-TAN, a 16t capacity version running on tandem axles, and the 10m LL-33-TRI with triple axles and 21t load capacity.
Both have a 2.4m all-steel tail section capable of lifting 6.5t into the level deck position, with a safety lock mechanism and burst hose security valves.
Bucket storage plates at the front of the timber-lined deck hold loader attachments in place so that just a single cross strap is needed to secure them fully, and there is a full complement of strapping points, rope hooks and lashing locations.

Toolboxes are built into the crash guards on both sides – which are highlighted with high-visibility tape – along with two deck access ladders.
As standard, the trailers come on 10-stud 420x80mm commercial axles with 24-32t mono-leaf spring suspension and carrying 445/45 R19.5 tyres, chosen to maintain a low loading height and centre of gravity while providing decent ground clearance and flotation within those constraints.
LED lights, side markers and dual beacons complete the standard package, to which straight or cranked harvest ladders or a round bale securing bar at the rear can be added for transporting straw, hay and silage.
List prices start at £21,750 for the 16t model and £28,500 for the bigger 21t version.
