Lamma 2025: Stewart ups trailer spec with new Legend range

Aberdeenshire-based trailer maker Stewart has replaced its popular GX load luggers with a new range that incorporates several nifty safety features.

Pictured is the 18t Legend – the firm’s most popular size – but the line-up runs from 11t right up to 24t.

As part of the improved specification, buyers now get a wireless reversing camera to improve visibility of the unloading zone and an audible alarm that sounds when the rear door is closing.

The lighting system has been revamped too, with four marker lights on the side rigged up to function as turn indicators and more powerful LED work lights that illuminate automatically when the body is tipped.

The front of the trailer has also been tweaked to provide more drawbar adjustment to accommodate a large range of tyres.

Options include various rollover covers, silage sides, load cells, automatic lubrication and central tyre inflation.

Despite all the additions, there’s no change in price compared with the outgoing GX. An 18-tonner comes in at £28,500.

Stewart also plans to roll out the new features to its Hardox-bodied Pro Series tippers.
