Vredestein adds six sizes to Traxion Optimall tyre range
Farmers and contractors keen to kit out their cultivation tractors with tyres that spread the load more effectively now have a further six Vredestein Traxion Optimall sizes to pick from.
Among the newcomers, the VF 750/70 R44 is the tallest Traxion Optimall to date and provides rear fitments for tractors of 300-420hp, such as the Claas Axion 900, Fendt 900 Vario and John Deere 7R and 8R series.

It competes in size with the Alliance Agriflex+ 372, BKT Agrimax V-Flecto, Michelin AxioBib2 and Trelleborg TM1060 of similar dimensions, with an outer diameter of 2.2m giving it a footprint-length advantage over a 2.15m diameter 710 or 900 tyre on 42in rims.
The VF 650/60 R38 and VF 650/65 R38 sizes are pitched against much the same selection of alternatives, as well as the Michelin XeoBib 60-series design, the Mitas HC1000, and Trelleborg TM1000 Progressive Traction 65-series version.
Further up the size scale, only the Bridgestone VT-Tractor range offers the same size as the Traxion Optimall VF 900/50 R42 – effectively a lower-profile version of Vredestein’s widest tyre, the VF 900/60 R42.
When paired with the new VF 710/55 R30, the newcomer caters for tractors in the 160-250hp bracket undertaking top work and other field activities.
The generous dimensions and low-inflation pressures enabled by the “VF” load/pressure performance capabilities deliver a high load capacity with the least impact on soil structure.
All the new Optimall sizes have Vredestein’s signature tread pattern, with the lugs curving from an aggressive outer slant for field traction into a more road-biased angle.
This places an increased amount of rubber down the centre for lower levels of noise, vibration and wear on the road.
