Turkish maker Basak to launch new tractor range in the UK
Turkish manufacturer Başak is having a crack at the western european market with a new range that puts the company’s own cab and controls on a set of familiar components that on the face of it should match many a tractor-buyer’s requirements.
The 120hp Başak 5120’s styling is pretty easy on the eye and it’s the most powerful of three models – the others serve up 95hp and 105hp from a modern Deutz 3.6-litre engine.

Power and torque are channelled through a ZF transmission with 32 speeds available in both directions, plus four-step powershift that can be operated in manual or auto modes.
Four-speed pto is also part of the ZF package, providing “power” and “economy” settings for both 540rpm and 1,000rpm, and Bosch provides the electronically controlled hydraulics.
The functional cab interior has an air seat and air conditioning, and a switch pad on the gear lever enables thumb and fingertip operation of main functions.
