Sima 2022: Kioti HX livestock tractor offers 115hp
Kioti might be best known for its range of compact tractors and UTVs, but the South Korean brand is slowly starting to infiltrate the conventional tractor sector.
In the past, this role was filled by the basic PX model but, as of 2023, the HX will be taking over.

This four-cylinder model is fitted with a 3.8-litre engine from parent company Daedong – rather than the Doosan unit used in the PX – which is tuned to deliver 90hp, 100hp or 115hp.
This is coupled to a 32-speed semi-powershift transmission, with clutchless forward/reverse shuttle and “E-shift” function to allow gearshifts without dipping the clutch.
The backend is home to a Cat 2 linkage with 4.4t lift capacity, two spool valves and a pto with 540, 540e and 1,000rpm speeds.
As for the cab, this has a five-pillar frame complete with air conditioning, pneumatic seat and an opening roof window as standard. List price of the highest-horsepower HX1201 model is £70,250.
Kioti also has plans to introduce a 140hp version of the HX, which will sit on a larger chassis. This is unlikely to make an appearance for another year or so.
