Massey to source sub-80hp tractors from SDF Group

Production at SDF Group – maker of Deutz-Fahr, Same and Lamborghini-branded tractors – will get a shot in the arm from a new supply agreement with Agco for selected models up to 80hp for global distribution.

The partners say the rollout of the new machines will start mid-2025, but have not revealed which markets will get them first.

Luis Felli, who heads Massey Ferguson operations, said Agco expects the tractors to strengthen MF’s position in the low-to-mid horsepower segment globally

Apart from the power ceiling and the promise of various powertrain options, no further details have been released.

SDF Group, which has tractor factories in Italy and Turkey, is no stranger to OEM supply agreements.

It has supplied Massey Ferguson branded and styled orchard and vineyard tractors, and Claas used to source its Atos 200 and 300 series, covering 76-109hp, from the Italian manufacturer.

That agreement has now ended – the four-model Axos 3 series tractors just launched are produced by Carraro Group’s Agritalia unit in Italy.
