Agriweld introduces Adapter Guard tractor front bumper

Deflecting objects away from front tractor wheels during a collision is the key safety feature of the new Adapter Guard.
The aim, says manufacturer Agriweld, is to minimise the risk of one or both of the tractor’s front wheels riding up on to a car or other vehicle with its potential to cause serious harm to any occupants.
It may also help avoid the tractor toppling over on to its side.

The Adapter Guard can be installed whether or not the tractor carries a cast front weight block.
It comprises a centre panel and two fixed wing sections with reflective hazard chevrons and posts topped by width marker lights and amber flashing LED lamps.
The wing sections are shaped to deflect objects away from the tractor’s front wheels, while the marker lights aim to help other road users recognise the bulk of the tractor and any trailer or implement.
As a bonus, each wing can house an easily-removable, 140-litre storage compartment for tools and equipment.
It features a rubber-lined floor and a sealed lid with lock-down catches and a stay to hold it open.
The new road safety device is available direct from East Yorks-based Agriweld for £2,450 in base form or £3,495 with the storage pods in a choice of colours and with a laser-etched logo for the centre panel.
It can also be ordered through machinery dealers, and purchasing from a Fendt, Massey Ferguson or Valtra outlet enables the product to be finished in limited edition colours and branding.
