Lamma 2024: European debut for 140hp Kioti HX 1402
Kubota isn’t the only East-Asian manufacturer attempting to woo livestock farmers with a growing range of orange-liveried, four-cylinder tractors.
South Korean outfit Kioti launched its biggest ever model at Lamma, and it looks strikingly similar to that of its Japanese rival.

The 140hp HX 1402 is propelled by a 3.8-litre, four-cylinder engine and four-range, eight-speed semi-powershift transmission, both built by parent company Daedong.
A 75-litre/min hydraulic system feeds three double-acting spools at the rear and, when specced, another two mid-mounted outlets for a loader.
Standard cab features include four-point mechanical suspension, a passenger seat, loader joystick and multi-function armrest.
A three-speed pto and 4.4t Cat 2 rear linkage are also part of the package.
List price of the HX 1402 is £99,800. Buyers on a tighter budget can save a few quid by opting for the 130hp HX 1302, which is identical but for its slightly lesser power output.
