Agritechnica 2023: Stoll develops telescopic boom for tractor loaders
Stoll reckons it has overcome the one shortcoming of tractor-mounted loaders – a lack of reach.
Its novel X-Tra Lift concept comes with telescopic arms attached to swivelling joints that increase the horizontal range by 1m and the lift height by up to 1.5m, to a maximum of almost 5.5m.
In theory, this should allow owners to add another layer to their bale stacks.

The use of electro-hydraulics controls has also allowed the designers to incorporate several safety functions, including automatic shut-off of the master cylinders when the maximum load of between 1.5t and 2t is exceeded with the swing arm extended.
As well as the advantage of extra reach, Stoll says the system allows the loader to be carried in a position that keeps the driver’s view clearer.
However, it’s currently only a concept – the company is gauging demand before committing to further investment.
