100hp Axos range returns with new Claas 200-series tractors

The “Axos” name is returning to the Claas tractor range with the introduction of a pair of 92hp and 103hp machines destined for loader, field and general yard work on stock farms and for commercial horticulture.

Powered by a 3.6-litre FPT four-cylinder engine, the newcomers sport a 30×15 transmission with two-speed powershift and a power shuttle as standard, and button clutch disengage for slick manual shifting without using the clutch pedal.

A stop-start system, enabling operators to just use the brake pedal to come to a halt and move off again, can be added to the specification.

Resources for operating implements include 87-litre/min gear pump hydraulics with manual spools or a triple pump installation giving up to 114-litre/min output.

Apart from the additional flow, this brings the option of upgrading to electro-hydraulic control with the Electropilot joystick and up to four double-acting rear spools plus two mid-mounted connections for a loader.

For pto-driven equipment, the Axos tractors have 540/1,000rpm as standard or 540/540E for light equipment, plus ground-speed pto for specialist implements.

A front-mounted pto and three-point linkage is a further option for added versatility.

Buyers can also enhance the cab specification by adding an air suspension seat and air conditioning, as well as opening side windows for added natural ventilation.
