Tillage Event 2009: Joint venture creates the Versadrill
A joint venture between Moore Unidrill and Sumo has resulted in the Versadrill, a machine designed for direct, min-till or plough-based drilling.
Up front there are six deep cultivation legs which can work at up to 12 inches, meaning users can direct drill at the same time as removing deep level compaction or min-till before hand to create a stale seedbed without having to subsoil first.
The coulter system, carried over from the Moore Unidrill, has press wheels in front to level and firm before seed is placed in the shadow of the flat disc coulter.
A steel press wheel closes the slot in a corrugated fashion.
