Weidemann extends telehandler range with 9m-reach T9535

Having focused for many years on articulated loaders – plus a couple of ultra-compact four-wheel-steer models along the way – Weidemann is now growing its full-size telehandler portfolio.

The latest addition is the high-lift, long-reach T9535, which builds on the 6m/2.7t T6027, and the 7m/3.5t and 7m/4.2t versions introduced in 2022.

It will hoist big bales 9.5m high, with the three-section boom maxing out at 3.5t from ground level to about 5m fully retracted, derating progressively to 550kg at full stretch upwards and 400kg forwards.

Weidemann’s patented VLS control system can be engaged to reduce operator inputs by automatically extending and retracting the boom so that the load takes a pretty much vertical path to the required height.

The company makes much of its four-post cab design, which has curved glazing to the rear for a panoramic view with only a slim seal to the flat central pane getting in the way, and more forward than usual front pillars.

Together with a sloping and truncated engine cover, the aim is to provide as much clarity to the rear as possible, although on this 9m machine the long hydraulic cylinder positioned along the top of the first boom section intrudes a tad.

Inside, there is auto air-con and multiple adjustable vents, a 7in colour display with turn-and-click navigation dial, and a multi-function joystick.

Nestling in the right-hand pod is a 136hp Perkins 3.6-litre diesel engine, which powers a 139-litre/min gear pump hydraulics package and the fully hydrostatic Power Drive 255 transmission with 40kph top speed.

There are the usual two- and four-wheel modes with a tight 45deg steering angle from the PAL axles, and a locking front differential if required.

List prices start at £119,400.
