Pint-sized TM110 pivot-steer joins JCB telehandler range

By grafting a new front end onto its compact 403 wheel loader, JCB has created a pint-sized telescopic pivot-steer handler.

Dubbed the TM110, this new Telemaster features a 3.5m boom that offers a 1,100kg payload at full chassis articulation.

This gives it considerably more reach and lifting capacity than the 403, while retaining petite proportions of 1.56m wide and 2.2m tall.

As a result, the machine can work in tight spaces and shift weighty cargo such as big square bales, IBCs and bulk bags.

Power is provided by a 50hp Perkins three-cylinder engine – the same setup as the 403 Plus – which is teamed with a fully hydrostatic transmission.

This can whisk the machine along at speeds of up to 30kph, while having sufficient strength to tow loads weighing up to 750kg.

In addition, an optional creep function can be added to separate ground and engine speed control, making it easier to operate attachments such as a feeding bucket, sweeper or cubicle bedding dispenser.

Slightly wider axles are employed to improve stability, with manual diff locks fitted to improve traction in tricky conditions. Tyres size is 31×15.5-15 and these can be specified with either tractor tread, industrial or turf patterns.

Options

Hydraulic services are powered by a 50-litre/min gear pump with pressure compensated flow sharing.

This means that more than one action can be activated at a time for faster and smoother loading. Boom suspension is also on the options list.

Buyers can opt for either an open workstation or fully glazed, heated cab.

In both setups, machine functions are grouped on a servo joystick, which is the same unit used on larger TM320 and TM420 models.

This features a forward-neutral-reverse rocker switch on the underside and roller switches on the face for boom extension/retraction and operating the third service. Cab and chassis-mounted LED driving and work lights are also standard.
