Neomach to rival Avant with diddy Nova pivot-steer handlers
Italian firm Neomach has added a third pivot-steer to its embryonic range of compact telehandlers.
The Nova X20 is a cheaper alternative to the X30 and X40, for buyers content with its lesser 800kg lift capacity and smaller 33 litre/min hydraulic pump.
By comparison, the two other models are rated to 1,080kg and 1,200kg respectively, and both have 43 litre/min hydraulics.

Output is 26hp across the board, despite each version running a different engine: a 1.1-litre Yanmar for the X20, a 1.3-litre Kubota in the X30, and a torquier 1.4-litre Kohler common rail unit in the biggest X40.
All three feature hydraulic drive via four wheel motors that offer a top speed of 12kph.
A front differential lock is standard, as is proportional control of the self-levelling telescopic boom, and a safety cut-out system should the seat be vacated.
This can be manually overridden when operating attachments such as wood chippers.
Size-wise, both the X20 and X30 are just under 1m wide and 2m high – the X40 is marginally taller, and 1.2m side to side.
As for competition, the X20 is a match for Avant’s 523 and sits between the 5- and 6-series from compatriot MultiOne, based only a few miles down the road from Neomach.
Prices for an X20 start at ÂŁ28,500, the X30 is ÂŁ32,500, and the X40 comes in at ÂŁ37,500.
The company, which has only been building compact telehandlers since 2020, is currently on the hunt for a UK importer with an established dealer network.
More models pending
Bigger models are in the offing, the first of which will be a two-speed Plus version of the X40 with a top speed of 20kph.
This modification will involve extending the chassis by 10cm, bringing the added benefit of a 100kg rise in lift capacity.
A new Star series is also in the works. It will pack 57hp and a bigger 80 litre/min hydraulic system to compete with the Avant 860i and MultiOne’s 8.5S.
