JCB 419S to hit the clamp at Grassland and Muck

JCB’s new 419S Agri shovel replaces the old 418S and comes with a 6.7-litre Cummins engine capable of kicking out 183hp, which equates to a 5% power rise over its predecessor.
The six-speed ZF powershift gearbox lends itself to silage clamp work, says JCB, and also allows a top speed of up to 48kph.
The new chassis design stretches the wheelbase slightly, while the axles have also been beefed up and can handle 750/65/26 tyres – a size usually reserved for the flagship 435S model.

A 180 litres/min hydraulic pump should provide enough flow for farm tasks and lift heights are between 3.48m and 3.71m. The 15% bigger cab offers all the refinements of other JCB models, including joystick control and a thumb-operated shuttle switch.
Optional extras include boom suspension and the integrated remote camera display for improved vision.
