Continental VF tyres now available for loading shovels

Having “CombineMaster” moulded into the sidewall does not mean some of the latest Continental high-tech, high-capacity traction tyres are confined to heavy harvesting machinery.
Their characteristics – including the ability to carry heavy axle loads at modest inflation pressures – are relevant to several other applications.
Such as running selected sizes on loaders and slurry tankers.

Recent additions to the CombineMaster range cater for such applications.
This includes the VF 620/70 R26 CFO suited to larger telescopic wheeled loaders and the VF 750/65 R26 CFO being fitted to big capacity wheeled loading shovels.
CombineMaster tyres are built to the VF category norms in that when compared with “standard” tyres of equivalent size, they are designed and constructed to carry 40% more weight for a given inflation pressure.
With the added designation cyclic field operation (CFO), these large-volume tyres are capable of being run at even higher loads for short periods at slow speeds.
Useful when, for example, a wheeled loader experiences when digging out of a muck or sugar beet stockpile and the like.
The combination of VF highly flexible sidewall technology and the strength of a CFO-designated tyre allows the lowest possible inflation pressure for the longest and widest footprint.
It can achieve this without being detrimental to the tyre’s long-term durability.
