Case IH adds 5.9m/2.6t Farmlift 626 to its telehandler range

Despite some on-paper similarities, such as the 74hp engine output, single-speed hydrostatic drive, and 80-litre/min gear pump output, the Case IH Farmlift 626 is an all-new replacement for the 526 that preceded it.

The machine’s introduction completes the renewal of the Farmlift line-up following last autumn’s revamp, which brought a number of refinements and new automated features to the heavier lifting machines.

With this compact newcomer, features and specs remain relatively simple while delivering a tad more lift capacity at 2.6t versus 2.5t, and also a little more lift height at 5.9m, compared with 5.78m, at full boom extension.

But the longer wheelbase yet shorter overall length will help stability and manoeuvrability, respectively, the latter also benefiting from tighter-turning axles, said to reduce the outside radius by some 17%.

Height and width are only millimetres different at 1.93m and 1.89m as the previous machine was already compact enough to work easily in and around buildings with tight access.

Meanwhile, broad-shouldered operators upgrading from Farmlift 526 to 626 will appreciate the wider cab and, if so inclined, the automated monitoring and recording of machine operational and performance data provided by the Case IH telematics system, with info available to view on the new FieldOpps app.

The same machine is available in New Holland colours as the TH6.26.
