Bobcat ramps up power for biggest L95 compact wheeled loader

Bobcat has continued its venture into the world of compact wheeled loaders with the launch of its biggest model to date.

Power output of the L95 is 75hp, which is significantly more than the L75 (55hp) and L85 (68hp) with which it shares the same 2.4-litre Bobcat-built engine.

It can travel faster as well, with the two-range hydrostatic transmission offering a top speed of 40kph – double that of its stablemates.

Hydraulic pressure has also been upped from 200 to 225bar, giving those who spec the 100-litres/min high-flow system far keener performance.

Standard models come with a 75-litres/min setup.

The lift capacity is almost 4,000kg, or 3,339kg with the machine articulated through 40deg, and it has a maximum lift height of 3.3m. Bucket capacities range from 0-6-1.5cu m.

Other improvements, most of which will be rolled out to the smaller models next year, include repositioning the joystick so that it’s attached to the suspended seat, sharper forward/reverse shuttle response and better performance when simultaneously operating lift and tilt functions.

The L95 also comes with an automatic park brake, hill start assist and the option of a rear-view camera that can be displayed on the 5in in-cab display.

Ag-spec 405/70 R20 tyres are available for the first time, too.
