KME develops all-in-one slurry pump and compressor
Slurry contractors keen to shave a few minutes off their umbilical set-up time might be tempted by the combined pump and compressor assembly developed by County Kerry-based KME Agri.
The 3.6t, two-in-one rig is designed to be carried on the rear linkage of the tractor, freeing up the front arms – if it has them – to carry a hose reel.
This should mean less faffing, and potentially save the need for a second machine and driver.

Both units accommodated on the frame are powered by the same pto drive, with the operator able to switch between them via a Bluetooth remote control.
KME has opted to pair Bauer’s high-pressure SX1000 pump with a 350cfm Applied Concepts air compressor, but these can be swapped for alternatives and the latter provided by the customer if they already have one.
Also included is a lazy arm geared up for a 200mm suction hose.
The Compressor Pump Station Convey Unit is priced at £60,000, minus about £16,000 should the buyer provide their own compressor.
Next in the pipeline is a trailer-mounted version, likely followed by one with an engine sometime next year.
