Techneat Engineering has added several new features to its 24-36m Multicast Twin Air applicator that should make it more versatile.

The kit is designed to be fitted to an existing sprayer boom and comes with a 400-litre hopper and twin metering systems that allow for half-width shut-off.

These metering units are now available with cover crop cartridges as well as the existing options for Avadex granules, grass and other small seeds, with application rate altered according to information provided by a Garmin GPS sensor.

Also new are an electro-hydraulic control system that reduces the number of spool valves required, and increased airflow from the fan to ensure Avadex or seed is distributed evenly from the 500mm-spaced double spreader plates.

The £38,000 list price includes the linkage, tank, distribution heads and pipework, fishtail outlets, two control systems and the various metering cartridges.
