Lemken adapts front tank for band spraying herbicide
Lemken’s SprayHub front tank can now be used to apply herbicide between crop rows when paired with a rear-mounted hoe.
It is available with a capacity of either 1,100 litres or 1,500 litres and comes with its own controls, agitator and cleaning system, as well as an on-board freshwater tank.
The firm has also fitted an additional induction nozzle to help break up solid material, and there is the option of a special connector that allows operators to fill via a closed transfer system.

For band spraying, the tank works in tandem with the isobus-compatible SprayKit application system.
This offers automatic single-row shut-off of up to 28 rows on hoes such as the EC-Weeder from Lemken subsidiary Steketee, and higher spec versions carry two nozzles on each row to maximise coverage.
The same system can also be adapted for applying liquid fertiliser close to the crop roots using a duck-foot share.
