Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year competition open for entries
Entries are now open for the annual Farm Sprayer Operator of the Year competition, with the winner set to lift the trophy in the Sprays & Sprayers Arena at next year’s Cereals event.
The contest aims to reward the country’s top sprayer operators and gives them the chance to share practical tips and best practice advice that can help enhance results and protect the environment.

It is organised by Syngenta, in conjunction with the Voluntary Initiative and supported by Ei Operator, and is open to all sprayer drivers – not just those running the biggest and fanciest self-propelleds.
So, if you can demonstrate ingenuity in the safe use of agrochemicals – from filling the sprayer and applying the products through to disposing of the empty containers – then you are in with a chance of winning.
How to enter
The initial application involves answering a few online questions, which you can find syngenta.co.uk/fsooty
The winner will bag an all-expenses-paid trip to the Agritechnica show in Hannover, Germany, in 2023, while the six finalists get a free day out for two to Cereals 2022.
The 20 runners-up will also be able to claim free tickets to the event.
