Greencrop adds new models and features to vacuum tanker range

Greencrop’s vacuum tanker range has been expanded with new models and added features.

The business – part of the Ben Burgess Group – specialises in irrigation, slurry and dirty water management.

It manufactures diesel pump sets, pto- and electric motor-driven dirty water pumps, hose recovery reelers and tractor-mounted yard scrapers, as well as water tankers and bunded mobile fuel bowsers.

The vacuum tanker range now extends from 6,800- to 18,000-litre capacity, priced between £20,000 and £40,000, and all models feature a full-length chassis to support the barrel and provide mountings for dribble bar and soil injection implements.

A sprung drawbar with swivel-eye hitch is also standard, along with Battioni vacuum pumps.

All tankers now come with LED lighting, a fill-level sight glass, and four intake points – effectively one at each corner – for the most efficient and convenient set-up, together with a large internal inspection and clean-out hatch.

Of the two newcomers, the Greencrop GCTX2400CS is a 9,874-litre vacuum tanker with a cut-in barrel and drop axle resulting in a lower centre of gravity than regular designs for greater stability.

It is best suited to slurry application across sloping ground and for travelling securely on hilly and/or uneven roads and tracks.

The GCTX4000T, meanwhile, is Greencrop’s biggest tanker yet, at 18,070 litres.

It runs on four wheels with a lockable steering axle to the rear, and tyre options include the 710/50 R26.5 Tianli Agro-Grips fitted to one of the first examples.

All models can be had with flexible hose storage supports and a “lazy fill” steel suction arm for filling without the operator leaving the tractor cab.

Dribble bar applicators from Greencrop are equipped with an Alrena macerator; this business – formed out of the Biomech research and development department – produces several macerator models in regular and section control versions.
