Horsch unveils trailed Leeb Xeric 14FS fertiliser spreader

Horsch has adapted its Leeb 12TD twin-axle trailed sprayer chassis to serve as the platform for an all-new Xeric 14FS fertiliser spreader.

It has been developed for high-output, accurate applications using a wide range of fertiliser products, with boom widths of 36m and 48m.

The Xeric’s 14cu m pressurised hopper has a hydraulic cover and has been designed for fast filling with a grain or seed cart.

It features automatic section shut-off and is available with optional variable-rate application with curve control.

The hopper uses internal augers to distribute and feed the product to dosing units at the rear of the tank, which then supply the booms.

These units feature interchangeable feed augers to allow a wide range of fertiliser products to be used, maintaining accurate application rates without fear of blockages.

Pre-production versions of the Xeric 14FS will undergo evaluation next year, with full production expected to commence in 2025.
