Want to step straight into your sprayer cab without having to climb up the steps? Then you’ll warm to Tecnoma’s new FC Laser self-propelled sprayer launched for this spring’s spraying season. One of its key features is the rise-and-fall panoramic Claas-sourced cab, which lowers to the ground for easy exit and entry.

The FC Laser comes with tank capacities of 3,200, 4,200 and 5,200 litres, all incorporating a 450-litre rinse tank with three internal tank-cleaning nozzles. Steel booms up to 38m and aluminium ones up to 42m are on offer and all come as standard with stainless steel spray lines and Pentajet rotating nozzle holders.

Boom options include auto-levelling, three-quarter folding, and permanent boom recirculation with air shut-off, boom lighting and manual or electric end nozzles.

Hydrostatic drive gives three changeable-on-the-go speed ranges of 0-15, 0-22 and 0-40kph, which can either be controlled by a joystick or the new automotive foot pedal, which is said to greatly reduce fuel consumption and operator stress on the road and in the field.

A suspended chassis with manual track adjustment from 1.8m to 2.25m is standard, with hydraulic adjustment available as an option. Standard ground clearance is 1.10m and four-wheel-steer, crab steer and hillside compensation modes are all standard.

In the cab, the operator gets climate control, pneumatic seat, bluetooth radio, defrostable rearview mirrors, passenger seat, refrigerated compartment, adjustable armrest with centralised controls and eight cab worklights.

Behind the cab, there’s an anti-slip walkway with handrail to give access to the engine and chemical storage area. A hydraulically operated ladder next to the operating area.

A hydraulically folding induction hopper is standard equipment, with Tecnoma’s optional Novaflow auto-filling system directly linked to the cab monitor. The Autonet sequential rinsing system allows the operator to completely rinse the main tank or just the boom from the cab, taking a portion of clean water each time it is rinsed via its own dedicated 70litre/min transfer pump.

Tecnoma’s optional Isobus colour screen and GPS controller give auto section control, on screen guidance, auto boom levelling and integrated autosteer. Users can also upgrade to a Vision version with bigger 10in screen.
