Knutsford, Cheshire farmer’s son Andrew Garnett designed his Ag Dispenser unit for dispensing sand into cow cubicles more than 10 years ago.

Since then the model range has grown and he has diversified into poultry bedding dispensers, harrows and muckscrapers. He now employs 10 people and exports are rising too. His latest machine is the Big D sand dispenser for cow cubicles. It holds 13t (the biggest of his existing models holds 2t) and is aimed at farms with 800+ cows. It can dispense to the left or right and costs £9600.
